WELL WE’RE IN THE FINAL DAYS OF AUGUST NOW. LOTS HAPPENING TO RECAP.

ON THE WEEKEND AS WELL, WAS THE PORT CREDIT SALMON & TROUT ASSOCIATION FALL PEN DERBY. CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM FIN’S UP ON THE WIN!
STILL SOME EVENTS LEFT TO GO IN THE SEASON. THE ST CATHARINES GAME & FISH ASSOCIATION FALL SALMON DERBY IS UNDERWAY. ALSO THE STRAIT LINE ANGLERS CLUB “CATCH THE FRY” SALMON TOURNAMENT IS THIS SATURDAY OUT OF PORT DALHOUSIE, AND NEXT WEEKEND IS THE HALTON REGION SALMON & TROUT ASSOCIATION “BRONTE CLASSIC”
RECENTLY THE FISHING FOR LARGE STAGING SALMON IS HOW IT OFTEN IS, WHICH IS VERY GOOD ONE DAY AND A LITTLE SLOWER THE NEXT. GOOD FISHING SHOULD CONTINUE FOR A FEW MORE WEEKS IN LOCAL PORTS SUCH AS BRONTE, PORT CREDIT & DALHOUSIE. 30-60 FOW HAS BEEN PRETTY GOOD LATELY.
SHORE ANGLERS ARE REPORTING SOME FISH BEING CAUGHT TOO LATELY.
ON LAKE ERIE, THE EXCELLENT WALLEYE CONTINUES! QUICK LIMITS ARE COMING FROM PORTS STANLEY, BRUCE BURWELL & MAIT LAND. GET OUT WHEN THE WIND ALLOWS, THERE SHOULD ALSO BE A FEW MORE GOOD WEEKS LEFT OF THIS FANTASTIC FISHING.
THE SMALLMOUTH BASS FISHING ON LAKE ERIE IS ALSO STILL VERY GOOD IN 15-35 FOW. TUBES & DROP SHOTS
