Fishing Report Update May 27
Ok lets catch up on what has been happening lately!
No doubt we are definitely ahead of things seasonally speaking and transitioning quickly into summer patterns already.
On Lake Ontario temps are setting up for the summer in all ports around the lake now. Good numbers of Chinook are being caught along with many Coho, Rainbow & Lake Trout. Locally the fishing has been getting very good out front of Grimsby & Fifty Point. 70 FOW is a good starting point.
Attached are some pictures of baits that have been working well.
A reminder that this Saturday is the Newport Shootout Salmon Tournament out of Newport yacht Club.
Over on Lake Erie things are progressing well a little earlier then usual. The Walleye fishing on the west side continues to be very good around Colchester/Leamington.
We are also seeing some Walleye, Rainbows & Coho being caught now offshore off Burwell, Nanticoke & Maitland. It's only going to get better from here on out!
Walleye fishing is happening in full swing now too around the rest of the province with all zones open.
Get out & enjoy the great fishing opportunities we have!
