FISHING REPORT UPDATE - MONDAY JULY 8
Wow! Wow! Wow! Amazing fishing continues out of nearly every port all along Lake Ontario.
Its a Salmon bonanza like none other. Hopefully all of you have had some time recently to get out & enjoy the action. For most ports it seems like 60-100 FOW has been very consistent. Quite honestly of late the Salmon are not overly picky about baits. Spoons, flies & meat and all firing especially at sunrise & sunset. So basically just get out there now while the getting is good!
Congrats to Marek Oldak who won Week #1 of the Great Ontario Salmon Derby with a 27.14 lb Salmon.
On Lake Erie the Walleye fishing is also getting very good again. Port Maitland & Nanticoke has great fishing starting in 80 FOW. Worm harnesses seem to be doing well but so are body baits & spoons. Port Burwell, Bruce & Stanley also has great walleye fishing out in 55-60 FOW
