Weekend Recap Fishing Report - Mon April 24
Well we are already into the last week of April!
With Cherry Blossoms & Dandelions appearing it means the Spring fishing is cranking up.
On Lake Ontario the Salmon fishing is definitely heating up. As suspected we are seeing the Chinook spread out all over currently. Kings are being caught from Grimsby, heading east well into New York waters. Best depth seem to be 25-55 FOW
Stick baits are still working well, but spoons are certainly being used more now.
Riggers, Small divers & short lead cores are all working.
Plenty of Lake Trout as well & seeing some more Coho moving in too.
For those still wanting Brown Trout, there is still great action to be had for them in 8-20FOW. Less boats targeting them now, so there's lots of room to get them!
Wishing all those coming in for the King Of The Lake Salmon Tournament this coming week a great safe time on the water.
Crappie fishing also is picking up. A bunch of our regular's had a great weekend trip up in the Kawartha's.
Locally, the Catfish action is still very good.
Get out & explore, there are lots of great fishing opportunities out there for everyone!
