Weekend recap Mon April 17 Some very nice weather again this weekend!Starting with Lake Ontario. Depending who you talked to, you will likely hear mixed opinions on the fishing this weekend. The high sun & flat waters, & boat traffic don't always add up to good results. That is when you gotta find new water & have a couple tricks in your arsenal. Well not a bad long weekend weather wise & it appears that fishing was decent as well.Lets start with Lake Ontario. There's been lots of dirty water along most of the shoreline extending out a ways. Finding the nice green patches will be productive. Surface temps are 42-43° in many places.Browns, Lakers, with some chinook & cohos being caught in 8-40 FOW. Stick baits (Live Target Smelt, Bay Rats, Bombers, Yaleye Mooneyes & Hooligans) off monofilament/planer boards working best. Hey everyone! Quick update as its been a while since our last blog post. We have been keeping busy here. New product arriving in the store every week. What a weekend! Lots of good fishing to be had in many places. Perch are going good off Port Colborne/Crystal Beach, Long Point Bay & Lake Simcoe. Smallmouth bass are putting on the feedbag on Lake Erie the Niagara River. Walleye on Erie, Quinte, Georgian Bay & more. Some Rainbows & Browns being caught in places like Dalhousie and the Niagara. Some boats even venturing offshore on Lake Ontario getting some steelhead, Coho & Chinook. Of course it's also hunting time!
