June 6 - Weekend Recap Fishing Report
Brief fishing report.Steady east winds over the weekend and very few boats got out on Lake Ontario. Add a full moon and it makes it tough out there. How ever, from what we are hearing and seeing, there is lots of bait being located around the west end. It's only a matter to time until the predators find the food. Some north winds the next couple days and then it looks like a pretty good weekend forecast ahead! Things should set up nicely. May 29 Weekend Recap Fishing Report
Sorry for the lag in reports lately, busy times! Wow what can you say about the excellent fishing & weather lately?! Starting with Lake Ontario, we have seen MUCH better fishing again all along the South shore. Chinook Salmon are spread out from Port Dalhousie to Fifty Point. Best depths seem to be between 80-200 FOW generally. The last couple weeks the North shore has also been producing well from Humber Bay to Scarborough Bluffs. In both locations, Salmon are being caught all over the water column. Meat rigs (herring ) fished deeper continues to produce better quality size kings....

Some east winds coming so hopefully they come back to again soon For now we are also seeing many...

As suspected we are seeing the Chinook spread out all over currently. Kings are being caught from Grimsby, heading east well into New York waters. Best depth seem to be 25-55 FOW Stick baits are still working well, but spoons are certainly being used more now. Riggers, Small divers & short lead cores are all working. Plenty of Lake Trout as well...
