long weekend recap! Well it's safe to say we're now in the early Summer peak season. What we mean is that weather is relatively good/stable, lakes are definetly warming up and thermoclines are setting up. This usually translates to very good fishing in most spots before the hot humid "dog days" of summer kick in. On Lake Ontario lately the Salmon and Trout fishing has been very good in most areas. Wow! What a weekend! Lots to share. Salmon & Trout action is really good now at nearly every Port on Lake Ontario. We often talk about peak periods throughout the season, and we are now in the summer peak time. Thermocline is setting up, the weather/winds is rather stable and there's lots of bait & fish around.   On Lake Ontario now, fishing is very good if you want to catch a mixed bag of fish. Lots of Lake Trout currently it seems from Bronte all the way towards Dalhousie. 80-130 fow is loaded. There are some nice Chinook Salmon in the mix too, the Lakets are just out-numbering them for now. There are Rainbows and Coho too, it's been a little better for them a bit further offshore.
