Fishing report update for Monday June 17Well what can we say... there is some VERY good fishing going on now in many places. Let's start with Lake Ontario. All along the South shore there is excellent Salmon fishing. 80-120 FOW is a great starting point and there are fish being caught out deeper too. Good numbers of Chinook but also a lot of Coho too. Spoons seem to be producing very well. Hot colors are DW Silver Alewife, Green Alewife, NBK & black purple glow patterns. Flasher & Flies (Stud, Hammer, Green Crinkle) are taking quality fish too. Well here we are in the 1st week of June already! But if we didnt know any better, we might think its late June based on the way the fishing has been lately. So briefly what we mean is that things seem to be about 3 weeks ahead of schedule. The waters are quite warm and things are setting up into summer patterns already. Ok lets catch up on what has been happening lately! No doubt we are definitely ahead of things seasonally speaking and transitioning quickly into summer patterns already. On Lake Ontario temps are setting up for the summer in all ports around the lake now. Good numbers of Chinook are being caught along with many Coho, Rainbow & Lake Trout. MAY 13 - FISHING REPORT UPDATE
Fishing report update for Monday May 13 On Lake Ontario the last few days we have seen the action picking up again. Good mixed bag catches reported from the Niagara Bar to Jordan. With the water warming quickly, we are seeing numbers of fish being caught a little further offshore now 100-150 FOW seems to be a good starting point with some boats doing well all the way out to depths of 300 FOW.
